Live Music

I love Texas, we going from here where they are playing classic rock
to two country western bars with live music tonight. Lots more to do
here in Corpus Christi.

We decided to ditch South Padre and ended up driving 4 hours up here.
Lots to do tomorrow.

Went to see a local high school football game tonight. Their football
stadium is bigger than most colleges.

El Fogon

But the ambiance was even better! It's a shack on the side of the road
with long benches you stand and eat at. There is no electricity and
the drinks are just thrown in a pit of water with huge ice blocks.
Your choice of condiments are hot, hotter, and nuclear and have been
sitting out on the benches all day getting filled with dust or as my
traveling companions say extra flavor!

La Pampa Argentinean Steakhouse

$70 dollars a plate but one of the best tenderloin steaks I've ever
had. Cooked to rare on these grates then sliced at the table and you
cook to your specifications on cast iron plates.

What's funnier?

The crazy Ford Kaa in the front or the guy in the background moving
half of his dinette set on his bicycle. Mexico is entertaining at least.

Weaponry!

There is a small object on the upper left of the stand to the right of the pistols. It's a case of pistol cartridges from the Confederate Weapons Laboratory in Richmond. (It was destroyed during the war from an accident by one of the workers)

The hole in this bible was made by a union bullet. Lets hope he was square with God when this happened.

This is the first painting I have seen that actually sparked an emotion. (Other than the usual what the hell is that you get from all that crazy stuff that is just lines and dots and splatters)
